Bean2Cell

We are developing a high-performance pre-mix from spent coffee grounds and microbial cellulose that minimizes environmental footprints.

The WHY

Surfactants, stabilizers, and texturizers are the unsung heroes of daily life. Found in everything from household detergents and cosmetics to industrial manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. But the old way of making them relies heavily on petroleum and harsh chemicals.

As industries transition toward more sustainable solutions and consumers are demanding products that are safer, there is an urgent need for renewable, biodegradable alternatives that can match or exceed the performance of conventional ingredients.

Bean2Cell is changing the formula into a highly efficient, fully biodegradable non-ionic pre-mix for rinse-off cosmetics made within circular economy.

By combining EcoBean’s synthesis of non-ionic surfactants from coffee oil, Treeless’ engineering of functionalized bacterial cellulose bio-carriers, and Łukasiewicz-ICHP’s expertise in cosmetic blending and stability testing, we are replacing petroleum-based ingredients with a scalable, high-performance rinse-off cosmetic base.
