Kacper Kossowski, a coffee industry expert with over 20 years of experience, noticed the problem of daily coffee waste, piling up. He teamed up with Marcin Koziorowski, a technology transfer expert at the Warsaw University of Technology, to explore the potential of Spent Coffee Grounds (SCG).

A mere 30% of coffee's potential is used in brewing, while over 70% is discarded, contributing to a significant environmental impact. This reality resonated strongly amidst a climate crisis, where the coffee industry stands as the 5th largest food CO2 emitter.

To close the loop on coffee and introduce chemicals derived from SCG with the lowest possible carbon footprint. Through innovative solutions, our aim is to stir up positive change in both the coffee and chemical industries in line with the principles of a circular economy.
