Our mission is to bring these grounds back to life right where they’re generated by the coffee industry, and to craft sustainable chemicals with a low carbon footprint. In short, we aim to make both the coffee and ingredients industries more planet-friendly, boosting circularity with innovation.
Here’s how we’re doing it


Rescue Mission
Most of the coffee potential is currently discarded. By offering a valorisation technology for the coffee industry, we prevent them from ever becoming waste. Not only does this reduce CO2 emissions, but it also cuts down on the overall waste generated by the entire coffee supply chain.
Upcycled Chemistry
We’re introducing biobased, low-carbon chemicals to the market as alternatives to those currently made from natural or fossil resources. This helps companies reduce the carbon footprint of their final products, paving the way for a more sustainable future.


Circular Economy Baristas
By spreading the word about the potential of “waste” and showcasing that a thriving company can be built by rescuing spent coffee grounds, we’re proving that a sustainable approach is not only good for the planet but also profitable for our partners.

As development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability, 17 SDGs are interrelated, meaning that actions in one area will affect outcomes in others. SDGs can be directly and indirectly applied to any kind of business activities.

Sustainable Cities and Communities
We prevent waste in cities by collecting SCG from coffee shops and offices. Our reverse logistics collection service for coffee waste offers a sustainable solution for municipal waste management, redirecting SCG from landfills to our bio-refinery to fully process them into chemicals.

Responsible Consumption and Production
Our activities are focused on decarbonization of the whole coffee value chain, from green logistics, zero emission Bio-refinery to ecological and useful raw materials and products.
We show how to use resources responsibly by finding value in waste and turning spent coffee grounds (SCG) into sustainable chemicals for various products. This way, we cut down on the need for chemicals made from natural or fuel resources. We care for the environment at every step—from using waste as a raw material and adopting green logistics to running a zero-emission bio-refinery and using responsible packaging.

Life on Land
By reducing CO2 emissions in the whole coffee value chain and using Spent Coffee Grounds (SCG) as a new source of biomass we act to halt and reverse land degradation and stop biodiversity loss.
